“I went through a lot of stages where I didn’t think it was right for me and that I wasn’t ready for it. But you’re more ready than you realize.

Standing in front of a classroom with a room full of adults is a bit nerve wracking at first, but and after a couple of days, I realized that the teachers really respected me and trusted what I was saying. And that gave me confidence in knowing that I do know what I’m doing.

After talking to the teachers, you realize that you all have so much in common and going back home. I feel like I’ll be even more confident when I’m in the classroom and know that I’m going to have an impact on my students.

Going into this program, I wouldn’t be able to offer enough experience to the loud teachers because I’ve only spent so much time in the classroom. But after talking to the team leaders, they stressed how important it is to believe in yourself and know that if you’re going into something like this, you are already a confident person.

When you leave, you’ll feel that you can conquer the world, that you can do anything, and I’m just ready to do the next Fellowship.”
