STEP 2: Watch the lesson & complete a Diagnostic Observation

This lesson was filmed in Ghana in one of our partner schools. The second activity for this e-learn is to watch the lesson and complete a Diagnostic Observation Tool.

STEP 3: Print and/or save your completed observation

As part of your orientation, we’ll use your completed observations to discuss the lesson as a group, and further prepare for your upcoming face-to-face observations.

You’ll be partnered with 3-4 Ghanaian teachers. During your first week, you’ll visit them in their school and conduct an initial Diagnostic Observation to assess where they are currently at in their teaching. So this activity really helps you to prepare for that first exercise, as well as giving you the opportunity to know what to expect in relation to the context and general norms of teaching.
